DEACONESS INSTITUTION SYDNEY The
Anglican Deaconess Institution Sydney Limited is Hope Healthcare Limited’s
parent company. The work of the
institution commenced in 1891. The
principal activities are the provision of services directed towards ministry
training and care for the aged, sick and destitute. In addition to being involved in the work of Hope Healthcare,
the Institution has a number of other varied ministries. Mary Andrews College (MAC) Mary Andrews College trains and equips women to serve God and assists the ministry training of women enrolled in Moore Theological College. The College also prepares women
for leadership in the church as bible teachers, evangelists and for pastoral
ministry, through programmes run at Stanmore, in the Wollongong, Western,
Southern and Northern regions and in Canberra. Supporting Women of
Excellence and Leadership (SWEL) Sydney
Diaconal Fellowship (SDF) The Diaconal Fellowship encourages and supports Deacons and Deaconesses in their varied ministries throughout the Diocese and beyond. The Fellowship meets throughout the year to share experiences, provide opportunities for ministry ideas and training, and to pray for one another. To and By The Aging (TABA) We assist and support senior
members of our churches to minister to others through existing parishes and
organisations. We also publish the Ageless Newsletter. Additional information The ADISL
